Greers Coal is a successful family run business was established in 1930 by Thomas Leonard Greer and passed down to his son, Norman Greer in the fifties. The present owner, William Greer (grandson of founder) took over the business in the eighties.

The original coal yard was located in Broomhedge, but was relocated to it’s present larger premises a few years ago. The Cash and Carry was opened in 1986 and has proven extremely popular since, as customers are becoming increasingly cost aware and are keen to take advantage of the savings that this facility offers.

In recent years, Greers Coal has begun offering Ex-Yard coal, which can be purchased in bulk. This discounted coal is another way of making huge savings on fuel. Coal is in handy 20kg Or 25kg bags and is available in one tonne pallet quantities which can be collected from our yard or we can organise a courier to deliver to your door throughout Ireland.

Greers Coal put much effort into sourcing only the best quality Colombian coal from South America and household coal locally from the West Coast of Scotland.
